About Me

Alex Stahl (she/her) is an MFA Directing Candidate at Baylor University. Originally from Houston, Alex has spent the last decade in Phoenix, AZ, where she excelled in secondary education, directing and teaching with notable success. She holds a B.A. in Theatre from Arizona State University and an M.Ed in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University, which has equipped her with valuable teaching skills that she brings to her directorial approach.

Among her directorial credits, Alex recently directed "Cry It Out" by Molly Smith Metzler at Baylor University. Her versatility across genres is showcased in successful productions of "Newsies," "Clue," "Bright Star," and "Twelfth Night."

Alex's directorial approach is deeply informed by her belief in consent-based, trauma-informed practices. She is also interested in devised community-based works, viewing theatre as a powerful tool for social change and community engagement.

After completing her MFA, she hopes to work towards teaching future theatre educators, equipping them with the appropriate tools needed to work with the youth of tomorrow.
